The laser sends heat to the dark cells/pigments in the hair. The dark pigments in the hairs absorb the heat, the heat then gets transferred into the hair follicles and essentially destroys the follicles so the hair can no longer grow.
You will require fewer treatments and experience less pain and ingrown hairs in comparison to waxing or sugaring.
Usually, a person will require 6-8 treatment sessions 6-8 weeks apart to obtain an 85-90% removal rate. Your hair has different growth cycles, and the laser targets the hairs in the Anagen stage of growth. Only 20% of your hair growth is in the Anagen stage at a time so you will need to get multiple treatments in order remove more hair and have more effective results.
You may think that after only one or two sessions your hair is gone but if you leave it, the hair will continue to grow and some people think that the hair appears thicker. In reality it isn't and the hair will be removed with subsequent treatments. Think of hair removal like taking antibiotics, you need to complete all 6-8 treatments for optimal results.
You will notice a reduction of hair after your first treatment.
Yes…and no…. Once we’ve destroyed your active hair follicles the hair is gone for good however, your body has dormant follicles that can become activated at any time, usually in relation to aging, medication changes and/or hormonal changes, so at times you may start to notice new hair growth. “Touch up” treatment may be needed.
No… the lasers target the pigmentation in the hair so the lasers can not pick up white or blond hairs. The darker the hair the better
There are 80 different shades of red hair. Some will be targeted while others may not be. The only way we will know is to do a trial test patch during a free consult.
